Update 10-11-2020 07.00pm

Dear pregnant women and supporters,

You will probably have noticed that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is on the rise again in the Netherlands.
For this reason we would like to provide you with information and explain the course of events in the near future.
We have made these agreements with our colleagues in the region.

It is important that if you are unsure whether you are infected with the Corona virus, you do not come to the practice under any circumstances! This also applies if there is doubt about an infected family member or someone else with whom you have (had) intensive contact. In that case we advise you to call us for advice. Even if you are waiting for a test result, we ask you not to come, even if you have no complaints.

Unfortunately, we are forced to tighten up the measures again.
Therefore, the following rules apply:
- Come alone, your partner is welcome during the first appointment and for medical ultrasounds. Your partner is also welcome when we are talking about the delivery.
- No children.
- During our work we wear a mouth mask. Our request to you is to also wear a mouth mask at the practice. Also in the waiting room.

General rules continue to apply:
- Do not come to the practice if you have complaints! It is therefore important that you do NOT come if you have complaints such as fever, sore throat, cough, chest tightness and a cold.
- Keep as much as possible 1.5m distance (except for physical examination).
- Cough and sneeze into your elbow. Wash your hands regularly.
- We don't shake hands.
- Disinfect hands when entering the consultation room. What does our concern look like now?
- Almost all checks are back in practice. Some of them are still on the phone.
- The intake takes place at the practice again. Just like the conversation about prenatal screening.
-Your partner may be present for all ultrasounds. This is at the ultrasound around 7 weeks, the term ultrasound and the growth ultrasound.
- Come on alone.
- DO NOT take children to the controls.

- During the delivery in the Vlietland hospital and Franciscus Gasthuis, 1 adult companion is still allowed to accompany you. Usually this is your partner, you can also choose someone else.
- In the Reinier de Graaf hospital it has also been turned back to 1 adult companion.
- During your home delivery, 1 extra person may be present for supervision in consultation with your midwife and maternity care organization. This person must be free of complaints.

- During the childbirth, we will visit your home once. The other checks are by telephone and we discuss whether a home visit is necessary.

Do you have an appointment at the hospital? Then check the hospital site for the applicable rules there. If there are new eases, we will let you know here and on our facebook page. You can of course always call us with complaints or questions about your pregnancy, but if you have any questions about the relaxation, we ask you to wait for our next message.

We thank you for your patience. We try to arrange it as optimally as possible for everyone, so that the risk of contamination remains as small as possible.
